Consumer Compost Use Program

In the effort to help consumers better utilize and understand the benefits of compost, Loudoun Composting is proud to participate in the US Composting Councils Consumer Compost Use Program.

In order to be able to participate in the program we are required to submit our compost to an approved lab at preset intervals throughout the year. Our compost must meet or exceed the guidelines established by the Council.

The Consumer Use Program takes this information to the next level and establishes use recommendations for various landscape applications and also sets down product parameters for each type of application which you can use to compare against the analysis of the particular compost you are using.

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT BEFORE YOU PURCHASE YOUR COMPOST THAT YOU ASK FOR AN ANALYSIS.
